What are the check-in and check-out times?

The standard check-in time is 3p.m and standard check-out time is 10 a.m

Early check-in is available at an additional rate.

The Boat Country Inn has 34 guest rooms, including garden rooms with their own private terraces.

In-room amenities include a TV, a kettle for making hot drinks, and complimentary luxury toiletries from the Highland Soap Company. All guests also have access to free Wi-Fi.

Are there dining options at the hotel? What are the opening hours?

Yes, the hotel has a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. They offer a casual, hearty pub-style menu with classic dishes and seasonal specials. Afternoon tea is also available with 48 hours’ notice.

Is there a bar at the hotel? What are the opening hours?

The hotel has a bar and lounge area. The bar is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and offers a wide selection of drinks, including craft beer, wine, cocktails, and a large selection of whiskies.

Is there parking available at the hotel?

Yes, free car parking is available for guests.

Is the hotel dog-friendly?

Yes, The Boat Country Inn is dog friendly. A £20.00 per dog or £30 per two dogs per night fee is charged for your pet to stay at any of our dog-friendly rooms. Maximum of two dogs per room. A dog bed and water bowl and their own welcome pack will also be provided. Learn more here.

What is the cancellation policy?

Our hotel offers a flexible booking rate with a 48-hour cancellation policy when you book directly on their website. This allows you to make changes or cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before your arrival.

Can I have afternoon tea at the hotel?

Yes, the hotel offers a traditional Afternoon Tea with a selection of freshly made sandwiches, delicious cakes, scones with jam and clotted cream, and your choice of freshly brewed tea or coffee. It costs £17.95 per person, and you can add a glass of Prosecco for £24.95 per person. Please note that a 48-hour notice is required for afternoon tea bookings.

Are there facilities for families with children?

Yes, the hotel is family friendly. We have family rooms that can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children. We also offer a children’s menu at the restaurant.

Can the restaurant cater to dietary restrictions?

Yes, the restaurant can cater to special dietary requirements. Our menus have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. We also offer gluten-free bread. It’s recommended to speak with a member of staff about any specific dietary needs.

What are the public transport options for getting to the hotel?

Buses go to Boat of Garten from Aviemore, Grantown and Inverness, all of which are accessible by rail and bus.

Does the hotel sell gift vouchers?

Yes, The Boat Hotel offers gift vouchers available in increments of £20. They are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
