Festive Season at The Boat

Our mysterious cloaked visitor is back…
but this time the only thing he’s plotting
is which festive dish to order first.
No drama. No deception.
Just great food and maybe the occasional dramatic entrance.
𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐮 𝐚 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐮 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐧
𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨… 𝐰𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐝.

Since The Traitors filmed just along the Strathspey railway beside us, we thought we’d make one thing clear about our Festive Menu:

There’s no sabotage in the kitchen.
No alliances over starters.
No one plotting your downfall between courses.

Just proper festive food, winter favourites, and dishes that arrive safely to your table with zero deception.

If anything mysterious happens, it’ll only be:
“Who took the last roast potato?”
or
“Why is the Christmas pudding disappearing faster than expected?”

Join us this festive season for good food, good company, and absolutely no cloaks required.
𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐚 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐧
…and don’t worry, there are no secret missions required.

Since The Traitors filmed just along the Strathspey railway beside us, we thought we’d make one thing very clear about our Black Friday celebrations:

No dramatic cloak swishing.
No tense round-table moments.
No one side-eyeing your dessert choices.

Just a brilliant Black Friday treat, festive vibes, and dishes that arrive without any plot twists.

The only mystery you might encounter is:
“Who polished off the mince pies?”
or
“Where did those pigs-in-blankets disappear to so quickly?”

Join us this Black Friday for good food, good cheer, and absolutely zero deception. Just the fun kind of drama (like choosing between two desserts).

This weekend marks Stir Up Sunday, the traditional day to begin the Christmas pudding — where everyone takes a turn, makes a wish and gives the mixture one good stir.

Since The Traitors filmed right along the Strathspey line by us, we thought we should clarify:
there’s absolutely no sabotage happening in our kitchen.
No whispers, no plotting, and definitely no one swapping ingredients when backs are turned.

Just classic festive prep, good wishes, rich flavours…
and maybe one or two people keeping an eye on who takes the last glacé cherry.

Raise a spoon, make a wish, and let the Christmas countdown begin at The Boat.
    𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬… 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Something suspicious is happening at The Boat…
and we need your help to work out what on earth is going on in this photo.

Caption this mysterious moment:
What is our cloaked visitor really thinking?

Is it:
• Plotting the downfall of the Christmas pudding?
• Debating whether to stir clockwise or counter-clockwise?
• Trying to remember if they put the brandy in twice?

Best caption wins absolutely nothing except pride and glory…
but we promise to share our favourites.

Ready… set… caption!
Snow Day at The Boat Country Inn Winter has offici Snow Day at The Boat Country Inn
Winter has officially moved in, and our little corner of the Highlands looks like it’s been plucked straight from a Christmas postcard.

Whether you're braving the snow for a warm meal, popping in for a hot chocolate, or simply admiring the view, we’ve got the fires lit, the lights glowing, and the welcome waiting.

Bundle up, take it slow on the roads, and come enjoy the magic with us.
Because there’s no better place to watch the snow fall than The Boat.

With The Traitors filmed along the iconic Strathspey Steam Railway, right by us, we’ve heard every twist, theory and dramatic whisper from guests passing through.

But here’s the real plot twist:
the closest we get to betrayal is someone taking the last sausage.

Stay the night, enjoy the calm, and if anyone starts acting suspicious…
it’s probably just because they want the window seat at breakfast.
