At the time of writing, we’re still in lockdown, but that’s not stopping us planning for the future.
For now, let’s look at what we’ve done over the last 12 months to make The Boat Country Inn and Restaurant the place you love to come to.
We’ve had a programme of refurbishment which involved:
-Refurbishment of 15 rooms
-A brand new Coffee Lounge which has been created off the main reception area
-Restaurant and Bar with new tables, chairs and decor
-Osprey Function room has new decoration, tables and chairs
-Rooms: TVs, tea trays, kettles – more energy-efficient lights, bins
Also, the staff have been through various training from a whisky ambassador course ready to deliver new events, sustainable staff practices, training about the importance of purchasing locally sourced food to making food by using seasonal ingredients. Plus we’ve enjoyed chocolate tasting too.
We were awarded a Green Tourism Award and for this we completed:
-Rooms all fitted with dual flush toilets, showers instead of baths, (to reduce water consumption), Led lights, light sensors in the corridors
-Adjustable temperature controls, key-cards will be introduced during the summer
-Highland soap – organic highland soap where we are bulk buying and refilling dispensers
-Save the planet rooms signs to encourage towel reuse
-Refill water bottle program to welcome people passing to refill their water bottles
-Paperless reception
-No plastic straws
Wow, we were busy as well as welcoming you, our guests every day and creating an atmosphere that people want to return to with their family, friends and dogs.
