No one could have planned for a global pandemic; the run-up to the 22nd March, reacting to COVID-19 and the ever-changing landscape is something that the team will never forget.
Our team are mainly still with us, some managed to get home before the lockdown in the UK and their home countries, and we’re pleased that they’re all staying safe.
But now we are looking forward. We don’t know when this will end yet, but we know it will, as we look to China and some European countries that are relaxing restrictions on residents.

In March, we were coming to the end of our second phase of refurbishment with another eight rooms looking amazing! The new coffee lounge had been open only a few weeks, and we know our guests and local residents were enjoying this new space, we were too.
Seeing families playing board games and guests enjoying afternoon tea shows us that we’ve created somewhere that guests enjoy returning to.
We’re so looking forward to welcoming you again.
